Laylatul Qadr 2028 is expected to occur during the last ten nights of Ramadan 1449 AH. If Ramadan begins on Friday, 28 January 2028, the most commonly expected date for the 27th night is the night beginning at Maghrib on Tuesday, 22 February 2028, continuing until Fajr on Wednesday, 23 February 2028.
The exact night is not known. Muslims should seek Laylatul Qadr during all the odd-numbered nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Date status: The 2028 date is an estimate based on expected Ramadan dates and calendar calculations. The final date may differ by one day according to moon sighting and the authority followed by each Muslim community.
If the first fast of Ramadan is Friday, 28 January 2028:
| Night of Ramadan | Expected Gregorian night |
|---|---|
| 21st night | Evening of Monday, 15 February to Tuesday, 16 February |
| 23rd night | Evening of Wednesday, 17 February to Thursday, 18 February |
| 25th night | Evening of Friday, 19 February to Saturday, 20 February |
| 27th night | Evening of Sunday, 21 February to Monday, 22 February |
| 29th night | Evening of Tuesday, 23 February to Wednesday, 24 February |
The table above follows the night-numbering convention from the beginning of Ramadan. Calendar websites may display the 27th day of Ramadan as Wednesday, 23 February, while the corresponding Islamic night begins after Maghrib on the previous evening.
In Islam, the night begins at sunset. Therefore, if the expected 27th day of Ramadan is Wednesday, 23 February 2028, the 27th night begins after Maghrib on Tuesday, 22 February.
The night ends when Fajr begins on Wednesday morning.
To put it in perspective: Laylatul Qadr in 2026 is expected on the night of March 16. In 2027, it moves back to March 6. In 2028, it moves back further to February 23. This shift happens every year because the Islamic calendar is lunar — about 11 days shorter than the solar calendar.
The last ten nights begin around February 17, 2028. Start increasing your worship from that night onward.
The Prophet would intensify his worship from the 20th night onward. He would stay up in prayer, wake his family, and prepare himself with greater devotion.

These dates are astronomical projections. The exact night will be confirmed by official moon sightings in each country closer to the time. Check with your local mosque or religious authority for the confirmed date in your area.
